“Wild As The Wind” is the first installment of this Young Adult Fantasy book series set in Western Massachusetts and centers on 12-year-old Viola Ferriman. She is a young soccer star who leads her twin brother Sebastian on a life-altering journey to a parallel dimension where “magic” takes on a whole new reality.
Also, the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have hit the most vulnerable in our society the hardest. That is why author Jorma Kansanen has donated to Monte’s March 2020 and The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
Each November, WRSI (93.9) radio host Monte Belmonte holds his annual march against hunger through the Pioneer Valley. For those two days, Monte and a number of supporters push empty shopping carts 43 miles from Springfield to Greenfield to raise awareness about hunger in our region. Click HERE for the full roundup on how we all can help those in need this holiday season.
“I was able to donate personally to Monte’s March today as the caravan of carts walked through Deerfield today,” said Kansanen. “I encourage everyone who lives or loves Western Massachusetts to donate to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. They do amazing work for families in need. No one should have to choose whether or not they’re going to eat.”
