“Side Roads” will feature short stories associated with Part I & the soon-to-be released Part III
ASHFIELD, MA – After the success of his first book “Wild As The Wind” released last fall, author Jorma Kansanen has announced the tentative release for the second installment of his “A Pendale Tale” series. This upcoming September, a compilation of short stories entitled “Side Roads” will expound on Part I while also previewing new characters set to debut in Part III. The third installment of this Young Adult Fantasy book series will be released in 2022.
“I’m really excited for fans of my first book to tuck into ‘Side Roads’ this fall,” said Kansanen. “It will add on to some storylines in ‘Wild As The Wind’ as well as give a first look at what’s in store for Part III. There are a couple of supporting actors in Part I that will get more time in the spotlight in ‘Side Roads.’ Their roles will only increase as I move further into this book series. So, augmenting their storylines has been a real treat.
“As the creative process blossoms for Part III – which is set for a 2022 release – two new characters have really stood out to me. They will also play important parts in future installments. What better way to tease next year’s third installment than to preview their introductions into the ‘A Pendale Tale’ series this fall!”
The “A Pendale Tale” book series is set in the Berkshires & Western Massachusetts and kicked off last fall with the release of Part I. “Wild As The Wind” centered on 12-year-old Viola Ferriman, a young soccer star who leads her not-very-identical twin brother Sebastian on a life-altering journey to a parallel dimension where “magic” takes on a new meaning.
Living with her family in the hilltown of Pendale, Viola emerges from her status as a loner to a elemental force: both on her soccer team and on the world around her. Naturally attracted to “Mother Nature,” she discovers a whole new conception of the power that resides deep inside of her after a trip into the deep forest.
